“We commissioned Pelagic Provisions to conduct a complete market study for the prospective sale in the US of two different species of fish produced in RAS conditions. The study required a very thorough review of the volumes and prices that can be obtained for these two species across the country covering distribution, logistics, retail, regulatory restrictions and other significant aspects connected with the marketing of these species as well the likely expenses that will have to be incurred over time in order to reach the projected sales as the production grows. We also asked them to put the price information resulting from the study in the context of a historical series to determine at which point in the cycle were we determining the obtainable prices and volumes. Pelagic Provisions provided all the analysis we needed and more. They gave us a very full presentation of all the information available with very useful commentary that allowed us to project our financial results with accuracy. We could ask all the questions we wanted and got the right answers, all along with an open mind that enabled us to think of alternatives that we had not originally considered. They have made themselves fully available at all time and we felt like we had found a partner in our project rather than simply a consultant.
